Founded in 2022, the studio draws from extensive experience with large, complex projects while maintaining the agility and focus of a small practice. The firm began with the belief that every project, whatever its size or scope, deserves thoughtful, well-crafted design. Mikhail founded Moya Architecture Workshop after more than 25 years of practice across firms of varied scale and specialty. Before launching MAWorkshop, he was Principal and Design Director at a notable Dallas firm, leading teams on award-winning projects of diverse scale and complexity. A hands-on Design Principal, he guided work from concept through construction, ensuring design excellence and technical precision.
Mikhail’s background spans architecture, master planning, urban design, and interiors, shaped by international perspective and a lifelong curiosity about how people and place interact. His technical acumen and design sensibility work together, testing ideas and resolving them with both intuition and precision from concept through construction. He works side by side with clients & stakeholders to define vision, align priorities, and turn shared aims into well-conceived, buildable designs. This blend of design depth, technical understanding, and partnership ensures each project is visionary yet grounded, thoughtful and enduring.
At MAWorkshop, Mikhail works closely with the design team on every project, guiding and refining ideas with rigor, care, and clarity from concept through construction documentation to realization.
Raul I. Guerrero
Sr. Project Designer

Raul is a Senior Project Designer at MAWorkshop, bringing over a decade of experience before joining the practice. He has held design roles at respected firms such as HOK (Houston, TX) and Omniplan (Dallas, TX), where he developed extensive expertise across architecture, master planning, and interior design. His formative years in sports fostered a strong sense of teamwork and discipline, shaping his collaborative ethos and his belief that shared ideas lead to stronger, more creative outcomes.
At MAWorkshop, Raul leads design development and manages technical implementation with a focus on precision, craft, and clarity. He is known for his ability to focus, execute on time, and maintain exceptional attention to detail, ensuring that each project reflects both design excellence and technical integrity. His ability to balance creative exploration with disciplined execution makes him an essential voice in the studio and a trusted partner to clients throughout every stage of design.
